Relocating to the New York or Bay Shore area
When relocating to a new area, you can have an overwhelming amount of things on your mind: a different job, different schools, a different church, different daily routines, and of course, finding a new place for your family to call "home".
At Meg Smith and Associates Real Estate, I understand this, and I am an expert in relocation. I have a long history of finding buyers the right home by going through a very specific checklist to help you efficiently narrow your options.
When most buyers go into home search mode - they may end up with 50+ listings to view. Naturally, that's too many homes to look at if you're on a short visit from out of town! I will help you to narrow your search down to 20-25 properties, with these tips in mind:
Come into town with two lists: One should be of things you must have. The other should be for optional things you want. When a house can't fulfill your basic needs, we can naturally cross it off the list.
Have a set price range. This could be based on mortgage or a reasonable estimate of what you'll net from the sale of your present home.
Consider drive time to work or other interests. Traffic in the Bay Shore area could be different than what you're accustomed to, so let me know how much time you're ready to spend travelling each day.
I can send you some top recommendations prior to your arrival.
Or you could already have some favorite listings based on your own research.
While seeing listing photos on the web is invaluable, there's nothing like seeing homes in person. Let me set up any necessary appointments with other Realtors or homeowners and map a route. If we work efficiently, we could go to 8 to 10 homes in a single day.
My goal is to make sure that by the end of your trip, you can be relieved to know you've found the best home for your family. Call me today at (516) 578-7153 to start your home search.
